Wedding and Event Policies

Once your date is reserved, the studio declines other inquiries, thus all retainers are non-refundable.

Travel fees and/or mileage may apply depending on location for weddings. A mileage fee of $0.55 per mile will be added to the cost of the package at the time of booking. Mileage fee is in accordance with CA state mileage rates and subject to change.

Jennifer Rau Photography will do all the booking, airfare and hotel accommodations for all weddings requiring travel.

Wedding galleries and/or files are delivered 6-8 weeks after your wedding date.

High resolution digital files are delivered electronically.

For wedding coverage, a non-refundable retainer fee of 20% is due upon booking. This fee will be credited toward your total cost. The remaining balance must be paid in full 15 days before your wedding. Should your event be canceled within 30 days of your wedding date, full payment is still due.

CA sales tax of 7.5% is applied to all wedding packages.

Event images and album designs are archived for 12 months.

Once the assignment has been completed and the product and/or files have been delivered, Jennifer Rau Photography does not assume any liability is any portion of the work is lost, stolen, damaged, or otherwise unavailable to the client.

Light retouching is done on prints 8x10 and larger as well as all album selections. All other retouching is billable at $60/hr.

50% deposit is required to begin album design process.

Images of other photographers cannot be added to the album layout.

Album designs must be approved within 6 months of starting layout. Album designs are archived for 1 year.

No refunds are allowed once album design has started.

Copyright is protected by the Federal Copyright Law. It is unlawful to copy or scan any images without permission of the photographer. Even though the pictures may be of you or your child, the photographer still owns the copyright to the image. In order to control the quality of the work produced, the photographer is the only one who can crop, modify, order any image produced at this photo session. Jennifer Rau Photography retains the copyright and ownership of all images of the photo session and reserves the right to reproduce images for portfolio, studio display, gallery display, website, self-promotion, photo contests, etc. Clients are not allowed to reproduce any images produced by the photographer for any purpose without written consent. No other camera equipment other than the photographer’s is allowed in the photo session.
